What Eventoly reviewers praise
Read a dozen of them and the same three points come up every time. They are fair points.
Nobody had to install anything
Guests scanned the QR code with their camera app and uploaded from the browser. Reviewers mention parents and grandparents managing it unaided. This is the whole category's promise, and Eventoly delivers it.
Hundreds of photos they would never have seen
Counts like 400, 600 and 800 photos from a single wedding appear in the reviews. Guest phones capture the moments the photographer is not pointed at, and a QR album collects them without chasing anyone on WhatsApp.
The slideshow was a hit
Photos appearing on the big screen minutes after they were taken gets mentioned as the thing guests talked about. It nudges more people to upload, which is why the photo counts above are so high.
Reading the numbers
A 4.9 rating is only as useful as the place it is published. Here is what I could and could not verify in September 2026.

None of this means the reviews are fake. Small companies routinely collect testimonials themselves and round the numbers up on the homepage. It does mean you are taking the rating on trust, and that the two figures Eventoly publishes for its own review count are 25 times apart. When you compare tools, weigh a review you can click through to more than a banner.
What a review written the morning after cannot tell you
Every Eventoly review is written while the album is fresh. These are the parts of the plan that only show up later.
The upload window closes before the album does
On the $49 Starter plan guests can upload for 3 months after the event date. The relative who finds their photos at Christmas is too late. Standard gives 6 months, Pro a year.
The album expires on every plan
Six months, one year or two years after the event, depending on what you paid. Nobody writes a review about the day the link stopped working, because by then the review is long posted.
The second event costs the same again
Every plan is per event. The reviewer who loved it at the wedding pays $49 to $89 again for the christening. See the full Eventoly price list for how that adds up.
The free trial's limits are not published
You can try Eventoly without a card, which is good. What the trial lets you do before you have to pay is not stated on the pricing page, so budget for the paid plan from the start.

Five stars, zero awkward photo chasing
A few words from people who brought every guest's photos together with Knipsmig.
Almost everything is just as it should be. Very easy to set-up and to use. Smooth and fast response make this piece if software very handy. One small issue is the pixel résolution in photobooth-mode which is low.
Super easy to use
We used Knipsmig for our wedding and it was so fun to see everyone's POV! I would 100% recommend it to anyone who wants to get extra pictures from their event. It was so much easier than asking everyone to send us their photos.

Yes. Eventoly is a real QR code photo sharing service with paying customers, a free trial and a refund policy. The reviews on its site are positive and consistent about ease of use. What you cannot do, as of September 2026, is check those reviews on an independent platform such as Trustpilot or Google, because Eventoly has no public profile there.
How many reviews does Eventoly have?
Eventoly's homepage says 4.9 out of 5 from 1,300+ reviews. Its own reviews page says 49+ verified reviews and shows a dozen, dated late 2024 to January 2025. Both numbers come from Eventoly; neither is published on a third-party site.
What do Eventoly reviewers praise?
Three things, over and over: guests did not have to install an app or make an account, the host ended up with hundreds of photos they would never have seen otherwise, and the live slideshow was a hit during the event. Those are fair and they match what any QR photo sharing tool should deliver.
What do Eventoly reviews not mention?
Anything that happens after the event. Reviews are written in the glow of the wedding week. The upload window closing 3 months later, the album expiring after 6 months to 2 years, and the fact that a second event costs another $49 to $89 do not show up in a review written the morning after.
